THIS HEN IS NO BIRD OF A FEATHER It looked like a hen but had a gorgeous cockscomb. It began laying eggs when it was ten months old but two months later it crowed.
Its astonished owners thought that it was a jinx so they let free in a mountain. The strange bird survived for a year and it was recently spotted and taken in by an
employee of a folk cultural park in Xinlou Village, Chenghai District of Shantou, Guangdong Province. A veterinarian believes the unusual physical attributes
are due to excessive male hormones in the hen.

Xiao Ming, a college student from Changchun, jumped from the window of his home in the 21st floor on Tuesday. Xiao Ming's parents were recently divorced.

RING IN THE PANTS GETS PROFESSOR OFF THE HOOK
A college student from Hefei, Anhui Province, accused a professor of stealing his
mobile phone. When queuing at a local post office, Xiao Ji felt a shake in his trouser pocket and found that his phone was missing. He quickly noticed that the only other person in the post
office was a 50 year old professor. Ji angrily accused him and called the police. The mobile phone was found inside Xiao Ji's own pants after the police called his number. The police
suggested that he stick with more traditional clothes instead of trying to copy western fashion.

SON STAGES PLOT, SEEKS MONEY FROM PARENTS
The parents of a 17-year old man were heartbroken after he told his friends to kidnap him to pay his debts.
His friends called the parents in Nanchong in Sichuan Province, and demanded 1,000 Yuan (US$123), claiming their son had stabbed one of their friends seriously.
The parents paid the ransom for and asked police for help but officers found the whole thing was a farce directed by the son.

RARE HORSES GO UP FOR ADOPTION
Przewalaski's Horses, very rare wild equestrians with
a history dating back more than 6,000 years, are now up for adoption. For 10,000 Yuan (US$1,233), the Xinjiang Wild Animal Protection Association and Xinjiang Wild
Horse Propagation Research Centre, which launched the programme in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, will assign a guardian to one of 66 wild horses.
Among them are 37 mares but 34 were adopted on the first day Monday. Przewalaski's Horse is in danger of extinction. There are less than 1,500 in the world and only about 300 in
China. They are considered "more precious than Panda."
