WHAT IS CHRATA CHRATA is an association of over 350 non-goverment organisations Certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, P.R.C. State
Administration of Foreign Expert Affairs (SAFEA) for the purpose of providing recruitment of foreign experts for approved
employment vacancies in China and Academic, Technical and Management Training Services for China Institutions, Corporations and Private Enterprises.
In 2004 SAFEA administered and coordinated the services of over 50,000 Foreign Teachers and 200,000 Foreign Experts
recruited by overseas non-government organisations and assisted with overseas training of 47,000 PRC Government Officials and Managers.
CODE OF CONDUCT
1. We will provide the highest level of service to all foreign experts and employing institutions through appropriate and
usefully organized resources; equitable service policies; equitable access; and accurate, unbiased, and courteous responses to all requests.
2. We uphold the principles of China Law, the Law of Contract, Government Regulations and Guidelines and are respectful
and considerate of Chinese culture, customs and traditions.
3. We will protect the right to privacy and confidentiality with respect to information sought or received and resources consulted, borrowed, acquired or transmitted.
4. We recognize and respect the principals of foreign expert employment in China and will provide unbiased support,
guidance, instruction and mediation when and as required within the universally recognized norms of employment in China.
5. We will endeavour at all times to work in harmony with China employer institutions and companies.
6. We will treat all people, regardless of nationality, with respect, fairness and good faith, and advocate conditions of
employment that safeguard the rights and welfare of all foreign experts, whilst being considerate and mindful of circumstances of employing institutions.
7. We do not advance private interests at the expense of China employing institutions, corporations, companies, the education system, students, colleagues or associates.
8. We distinguish between our personal convictions and professional duties and do not allow our personal beliefs to interfere
with fair representation of the aims of our institutions or the provision of human resource services.
9. We strive for excellence in the profession by maintaining and enhancing our own knowledge and skills, by encouraging and
fostering the professional development of foreign experts, and the aspirations of potential foreign experts and professionals. |
